Tempus Fugit by inormal
Tempus Fugit
I finally found the perfect clock at a garage sale...I've had this idea in my head for a couple of years, but needed an antique clock that i wouldn't mind destroying as the center...Had to photograph the skull in a cardboard box because it would NOT fit into the clock box...The two daemons are made from pose able wooden "artist's models"....Toothpicks for horns...Black candles burnt at both ends, all set up on that ubiquitous table I love so well...The clock is set to the time of my birth....During the time it took me to complete this work, 3 of my closest friends turned to cloud...The passage of time is now fully understood...This piece is dedicated to my friend, my brother, Hendrick Hersevoort....."Once in the saddle, we used to go dashing".......15" x 21"...Vanitas still life.....Graphite entire....
Blessed by inormal
This is the same little sculpture that I used in "Virgin".....This time , the HOLY RELIC can be seen blessing a poor sinner....Amen....8"x 10.75"...Graphite entire....Vanitas still life...
Sacred by inormal
....My friend, Frances Palermo, makes the most wonderful creations out of found objects. I saw this in his studio, and had to draw it.....I'm not sure what's in all the bottles...I know that one contains gold...The darker bottle has something brown and viscous in it...The bone might be from a black cat....There are razor blades embedded in the back, so watch out when handling.....Truly the most " Sacred" object....Amen.....11" x 17" Graphite entire....

Hi! May I ask what paper you've used for your still life drawings? I'm amazed at how smooth and crisp the values and details are..
